DevOps Engineer (GCP)

Verve is seeking a DevOps Engineer to manage physical, virtual, and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in system/DevOps engineering and a focus on stable, reproducible applications, middleware, and infrastructure. Responsibilities include managing infrastructure, assisting in maintaining images and configurations, and working with automated CI/CD systems for deployment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working as a System/DevOps Engineer
• 1 year of experience with any CI/CD platform
• Knowledge of scripting and serialization languages (bash, python, yaml, json)
• Experience with virtualized, containerized, cloud, and bare-metal Linux infrastructure
• Comfortable with networking paradigms at both data center and virtualized (container) level
• Proficiency with object-storage paradigms (s3/GCS/ceph)
• Proficiency with structured data (i.e. MySQL)
• Experience with agile development paradigms
• Familiarity with the development process (git/GitHub, PRs, commit hooks)
