Job Description
The Technical Designer is responsible for overseeing and creating accurate measurements, grading, and construction, as well as managing technical packs and communicating with various stakeholders.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in fashion design or equivalent experience
- 5-10 years of technical design and/or pattern making experience in the apparel industry
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, sewing technique, patternmaking, grading, and textiles
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, PDM/PLM, AccuMark PDS/3D/GMS, CLO3D, or comparable software, Outlook, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good understanding of production timelines, equipment, and garment construction options
- Ability to multi-task, lead, design, and create, as well as comprehend fit and garment development
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple challenges
- Flexibility for domestic and international travel
