DoD SkillBridge: Environmental Services Director (Facility Manager)

Juniper Communities is seeking a Facilities Manager (Environmental Services Director) SkillBridge Intern to gain leadership experience managing a hospitality retirement community's operation. The role involves maintaining a safe and welcoming environment by overseeing building systems, maintenance workflows, vendor services, and safety compliance.

Requirements

• Supervise Environmental Services and Housekeeping/Laundry teams
• Oversee daily building operations and support preventative maintenance programs
• Coordinate work orders, inspections, repairs, and regulatory documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and environmental standards
• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers
• Maintain logs and systems for regulatory readiness and maintenance tracking
• Support general handyman-level repairs including HVAC, plumbing, and painting
• Collaborate with other departments on space needs, renovation projects, and emergencies
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed and contribute to special events
