Job Description
The Special Education Teacher at VIA Day Schools works collaboratively with the Behavior Analyst and other IEP team members to support students with disabilities. Duties include implementing IEPs, creating classroom schedules, monitoring student progress, and facilitating communication with families. This role requires a commitment to student progress and a passion for behavior intervention.
Requirements
- Completed Bachelorās Degree in Education, Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field
- Valid Virginia Special Education Teaching License
- Valid driver's license
- One year of experience in the instruction of individuals with autism using the principles of ABA (preferred)
- Understanding of IEP processes and regulations
