Director, Head of Market Access Spain

Viatris is seeking an experienced Head of Market Access to lead Market Access efforts in Spain. The role will develop and lead the execution of integrated Market Access strategies for Spain across all therapeutic areas, with a primary focus on innovative and value-added medicines. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of HEOR principles, including the ability to interpret and apply health economic models, burden of illness data, and real-world evidence to support pricing and reimbursement submissions.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, health economics, or public health
• Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in Market Access in Spain, including direct HTA and pricing negotiations
• Strong technical understanding of HEOR principles
• Proven track record of leading Market Access strategies for recently launched innovative medicines in Spain
• Deep knowledge of the Spanish healthcare system, reimbursement pathways, and evolving policy trends
• Experience managing or mentoring teams and working in a matrix environment
• Strategic mindset with a hands-on attitude
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
• Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
• High level of integrity, ownership, and collaboration
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally within Europe
