Job Description
VIAVI is a global provider of network test, monitoring and assurance solutions, and we're seeking a hardware engineering co-op to work on product development teams to bring products to market.
Requirements
- Completion of at least one year of undergraduate education toward a degree in CPE, EE, or CS
- Knowledge of fundamental electrical engineering concepts, practices, and procedures
- Familiarity with FPGA or CPLD programmable logic (e.g. Altera or Xilinx) using HDL coding (Verilog or VHDL) preferred
- Familiarity with the use of common lab equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, meters)
- Familiarity with schematic, PCB layout, and simulation tools (e.g. spice) preferred
- Knowledge of data communications and telecommunications protocols and concepts preferred
