Job Description
Design, assist in integration of, and support improvement in manufacturing systems and processes through technical expertise to help ensure quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
Requirements
- Research for new or existing production problems involving designs, materials, processes, or tooling.
- Identify opportunities and/or propose changes to improve manufacturing processes or products to reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts.
- Complete one design implementation/idea and conduct a presentation at the end of internship.
- Develop working understanding of current manufacturing industry processes and engineering techniques.
- Attend meetings as required and/or assigned.
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
