Job Description
Per Diem - OR RN role at an Ambulatory Surgery Center, providing comprehensive care to patients and collaborating with the healthcare team. Requirements include an Associate degree, valid NJ nursing license, and at least 1 year of perioperative experience.
Requirements
- Provides total, comprehensive care to patients
- Collaborates with the patient, significant others and ancillary departments
- Communicates proactively to the healthcare team
- Demonstrates knowledge of nursing responsibilities regarding anesthesia administration
- Demonstrates the ability and competency to respond quickly and efficiently in emergency situations
- Implements nursing action in transferring the patient according to prescribed plan
- Creates and maintains a sterile field
- Performs surgical counts according to facility policy and procedure
- Dispenses drugs and solutions according to policy
- Competently manages the care of the surgical patient
- Provides equipment and supplies based on patient needs
- Excellent communication and computer skills required
