Maintenance Fitter

Join our supportive small maintenance team as a Maintenance Fitter, working 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday at our Avondale, Dynex manufacturing operation. Ideal for a trade qualified (level 4) Fitting and Turning or dual trade qualified, with 3-5 years' experience in industrial manufacturing, and a keen eye for detail, technical and mechanical aptitude.

Requirements

• Trade qualified (level 4) Fitting and Turning or dual trade qualified
• 3-5 years' experience as an industrial Maintenance Fitter working in a similar role within a Manufacturing, Plastic, FMCG or Heavy Industrial environment
• Knowledge or experience in extrusion, water process plant, raw materials handling, granulation, pumps, and associated equipment (highly desirable)
• Be hands on and flexible to be on call when needed to attend breakdowns.
• Are a team player with excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Demonstrated experience in mechanical maintenance activities including annual shutdowns, breakdowns and preventative maintenance.
• Computer literate with experience using CMMS systems (MEX preferred)
• Exceptional time management and coordination skills, able to prioritise and be agile with a high level of attention to detail.
• Have a current driver’s licence, own transport
• EWP, White Card and Forklift licence (advantageous).
• Be a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident with full working rights.
