The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician's role is to support the reliability and performance of recycling and processing equipment. This role is responsible for performing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
Requirements
- Perform preventive maintenance on shredders, grinders, conveyors, balers, extrusion systems, and related processing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, pumps, and motors.
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems up to 480V, including motors, VFDs, PLC-controlled systems, and control panels.
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Perform welding and fabrication (MIG, TIG, Stick) as needed.
- Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems including cylinders, valves, and compressors.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Document maintenance activities.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with plant housekeeping standards.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
