This position is primarily responsible for coordinating residents' care in accordance with the Virginia Department of Social Services Standards and recognized nursing standards and practices. As a member of the Nursing Leadership team this position is responsible for implementing and auditing quality improvement measures, mentoring and coaching nurses and CNAs, and completion of performance reviews for supervised staff.
Requirements
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing with a current license to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Past demonstrated supervisory, coaching, and support skills with personal care staff
- Previous experience in long-term care/SNF required
- Ability to communicate effectively with Director of Nursing, nursing leadership team, physicians, employees, families, and community partners
- Knowledge of geriatric care, transitional, and long-term care
- Ability to supervise, coordinate, and effectively lead the activities of others
- Computer experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Self-motivated, organized, and flexible to accommodate changing priorities
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment with minimal supervision
