Job Description
Virtu is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, build, and maintain high-performance servers, leveraging cutting-edge technology for trading platform stability and efficiency. This role involves working across global teams to ensure the best platform in the industry. The ideal candidate will be analytical, innovative, and proactive.
Requirements
- 5+ years background in Linux/Unix administration.
- Kernel tuning experience.
- Strong understanding of networking and network topology.
- Knowledge of Kickstart, Ansible, Yum, Git, SVN.
- Understanding of NAS environments.
- Strong understanding of protocols and services including NFS, DHCP, IP, TCP, UDP, TFTP and NTP.
- Strong scripting ability (Bash, Python etc).
- Experience with BIOS configuration.
- Analytical, innovative, problem solving and strategic thinker.
- Self-motivated and proactive; strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple streams of communication.
- Understanding of milli-, nano-, and micro-seconds.
