High School ELA Teacher - SY 26-27

Virtual Preparatory Academy of Florida is seeking a High School ELA Teacher for SY 26-27. The teacher will deliver live lessons via web conference, monitor student progress, and collaborate with Principal to create Progress Reports. The ideal candidate has a current State teaching license, knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards, and two years' experience teaching. The teacher will also participate in non-instructional activities, such as social events and field trips, and attend these events in person.

Requirements

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
• Two years' experience teaching
• High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment
• High quality written and verbal communication skills
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
• Ability to properly manage confidential information
• Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time
• Ability to supervise students in all school settings
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
