Hardware Computer Repair Technician

Virtucom is seeking Hardware Computer Repair Technicians to join our new team in Chicago, Illinois, to maintain and restore the functionality of various devices such as laptops and Chromebooks.

Requirements

• Diagnose and repair desktop and laptop computers, including hardware and software issues
• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, software, and drivers
• Inspect and identify cosmetic and functional defects; document and report findings
• Disassemble and reassemble devices using hand tools to replace or repair components (e.g., motherboards, bezels, keyboards)
• Clean and adjust mechanical parts to ensure equipment runs efficiently and reliably
• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and ticket resolutions in ticketing systems
• Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
• Communicate with leadership regarding inventory levels and part requests
• Stay current with repair procedures, quality standards, and service-level agreements (SLAs)
