Staff SW Engineer

Visa Technology & Operations LLC is seeking a Staff SW Engineer to partner with business stakeholders to define system objectives and design integrated solutions for high-volume financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience in mainframe technologies, source code management, job scheduling, and database analysis. The position is a hybrid role with 50% or more of the time spent in the office.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a software engineering-related occupation
• Mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, and DB2
• Source code management and configuration tools, including Endevor and ChangeMan
• Job scheduling and workload automation tools, such as ESP Workload Automation, CA-7, and Control-M
• Database and data analysis tools, including SPUFI, QMF, TOAD, and DataGrip
• File transfer and connectivity solutions such as NDM (Connect:Direct) and FTP processes
• Reporting and utility programs, including DFSORT, ICETOOL, IEBGENER, and IDCAMS
• System and performance monitoring tools, such as SDSF and SAR
• Terminal emulation and access tools, including BlueZone, Attachmate, and ISPF
• Incident management and ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow, JIRA, and Rational Team Concert (RTC)
• Testing and quality assurance tools, including XPEDITER, Fault Analyzer, and File Manager
• Release and deployment management tools, such as Endevor and ChangeMan
• Project methodologies, including Agile and the Waterfall model
• Collaboration and documentation tools, such as Confluence, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint
