Admissions RN

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our hospice team as an Admissions Nurse. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for end-of-life care. As a VITAS Admissions Nurse, you will guide patients and families through the hospice decision-making process, providing emotional support and clinical guidance.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid state license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (hospice, palliative, ER, ICU, home health or case management preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Compassionate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Active listener who builds trust and rapport
• Confident in guiding others through uncertainty, addressing concerns with empathy
• Reliable professional with strong follow-through and autonomy
• Patient-centered advocate committed to dignity and comfort
