The Chaplain Home Care position provides pastoral care to patients, families, caregivers, and staff. This role involves spiritual assessments, pastoral counseling, and identifying spiritual needs. The ideal candidate will be authentic, compassionate, and skilled in dealing with the emotional and spiritual complexities of illness, loss, and death.
Requirements
- Qualified candidates must have Ordination or Commission in a ministry of pastoral care.
- Five years of pastoral experience preferred, two in a clinical setting.
- 1 unit (400 hours), ideally two (2) or more, of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) accredited by Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, National Association of Catholic Chaplains or the Canadian Association for Pastoral Practice and Education.
- Knowledge and skill in dealing with spiritual dynamics of illness, loss, and death.
