Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for administering nursing care to terminally ill patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. This role involves providing direct bedside nursing care, evaluating patient needs, assisting with interdisciplinary planning, maintaining a clean environment, and documenting accurate records. The position supports team members in providing compassionate and holistic care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing.
• Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
• At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience.
• At least one year of experience as an LPN/LVN in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit.
• Valid driver's license and liability insurance.
