Respiratory Therapist Homecare

The Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory services to VITAS patients to enhance their quality of life. The therapist will assess the respiratory status of patients, evaluate the effectiveness of their respiratory regimen, and instruct patients and caregivers on appropriate respiratory care procedures. The therapist will also participate in the care process and provide educational programs for VITAS staff members.

Requirements

• RRT: Acute care and home care field experience required.
• CRTT: minimum two years experience with at least one year acute care and one year home care field experience.
• Experience with respiratory-related home care equipment, compressed medical gases, concentrators and liquid oxygen.
