Job Description
VITAS Healthcare is seeking a Hospice Social Worker to provide emotional and logistical support to patients and their loved ones during end-of-life care. The role involves ensuring patients have affairs in order, honoring wishes for finances, and offering support to both the patient and their family. Requirements
- Ability to travel per job requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of community resources or desire to obtain this knowledge.
- Knowledge of key psychosocial issues with terminally ill patients and their families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to advocate for both patients and families.
- Master of Social Work license (LMSW or LGSW depending on state)
