State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)/Home Health Aide (HHA)

The VITAS Home Health Aide (HHA) provides personal care and services to hospice patients, augmenting care by assisting family members or caregivers. This position involves performing a range of tasks such as hygiene assistance, meal preparation, ambulation assistance, and monitoring vital signs. Home Health Aids perform not only assigned duties but also observe patient status, report concerns, and teach basic personal care.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• 75 hours of training as specified in 42 C.F.R. Sections 484.36
• Documented evidence of 75 hours of training
• State Allowable Training/Certification (CA, CHHA, CT, Homemaker-Home Health Aide, IL, HHA, NA, KS)
