Senior Energy Consultant (German speaking)

We are looking for a Senior Energy Consultant to join our UK-based energy consultancy partner as they expand across continental Europe. The role will involve building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners, and managing tenders and contract negotiations for electricity and gas portfolios across several European markets.

Requirements

• Be available for 3-4 business trips per year to maintain Customer and supplier relations in person, attend conferences or company events.
• Proficiency – written and spoken – in English and German (nice to have; French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish)
• Good project and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently to achieve agreed goals, proactively managing owned responsibilities and key stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to negotiate contracts and present complex topics concisely, both internally and externally.
• At least 3 years of experience working in an energy sourcing, procurement, risk management, trading, reporting and/or market analyst role.
• Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Ability to understand and break down complex problems, propose and implement solutions to resolve them.
• Strong understanding of at least two electricity or gas markets in the following geographies: France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Scandinavia.
