Lead Cloud Architect with GCP

VML, a leading creative company, is seeking a Lead Cloud Architect with GCP experience to design, build, and implement innovative cloud-native solutions, focusing on event-driven architectures and microservices.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a hands-on software developer and architect, delivering complex enterprise solutions
• Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architectural best practices
• Proven ability to design, implement, and lead event-driven architectures and distributed systems
• Strong understanding of API design principles and practical experience with Apigee X
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform
• Experience with observability platforms, particularly New Relic, for monitoring, logging, and tracing in cloud environments
• Solid grasp of traditional and modern architectural design patterns
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Go)
• Experience applying DevOps principles and practices
• Commitment to Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles
• Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, diagrammatic) to convey technical and abstract concepts
