Peer Navigator

Peer Navigator will provide practical support services to individuals with histories of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders at the Harlem and Casa Esperanza Shelters in NYC.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CPRA) certification preferred
• Prior experience working with the target population
• Ability and willingness to share life experience in a manner appropriate to the consumers served
• Good interpersonal skills, enthusiastic about recovery
• Ability to speak, read and write the English language, additional languages preferred (Spanish)
• Proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Word, Excel, Electronic Health Record and Outlook programs)
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Must be Covid Vaccinated
