Internal Auditor

Internal Auditor who will evaluate and improve the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance practices in a manufacturing sector client in Nairobi, Kenya.

Requirements

• Develop and implement the internal audit plan specific to the paint manufacturing process.
• Conduct audits of financial processes, inventory controls, procurement, and production workflows.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and government regulations.
• Assess the financial impact of material, labor, and overhead costs in production processes.
• Monitor working capital management, including inventory turnover and accounts receivable.
• Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing processes, from raw materials procurement to finished goods production.
• Propose and implement mitigation strategies for identified risks.
• Work closely with other departments like production, procurement, and finance to understand their processes and align audit objectives.
• Verify procurement processes to ensure proper supplier selection, contract management, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including industry-specific regulations such as hazardous material handling.
• Conduct audits on environmental sustainability, waste management, and chemical safety protocols.
