WR Grace is seeking an I&E Technician responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, installing, testing, and repairing low, medium, and high voltage electrical distribution systems, process control systems, motor control systems, electrical infrastructure, and equipment.
Requirements
- Demonstrating safe work behaviors, complies with all safety rules, policies and procedures.
- Maintains timely compliance on all safety, health, environmental, and training initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, other crafts, contractors, production groups, vendors, and OEM suppliers.
- Disconnects, reconnects, installs, removes, troubleshoots, and generally maintains motor control, process control, burner control, and electrical distribution devices and Instrumentation systems.
- Reads and interprets various drawings, such as, but not limited to: electrical schematics, conduit schedules, equipment drawings, control drawings, loop sheets, P&IDs, etc.
- Performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance as required to maintain equipment in optimal condition.
- Understands the NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 86, and can use the code books as a reference.
- Maintains substation equipment
- Configures, sets up, and calibrates various pieces of equipment and instrumentation.
- Performs general housekeeping and maintains orderliness.
- Complete all training requirements and regulatory testing and attend safety meetings
- Assist in the work of other maintenance job groups as assigned.
- Participates in training initiatives to maintain and improve skills. Assists others with training initiatives
- Fosters a team environment to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a laboratory environment with highly hazardous materials
- Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a pilot plant facility with highly hazardous materials
- Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.
- Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator
