Wachter is seeking a self-motivated and reliable Low Voltage Project Technician to travel across the United States for project work. The successful candidate will have experience with data, voice, alarm, video, and paging systems and be willing to learn and help in other structured cabling environments.
Requirements
- Data Cable Technician with CAT5e, fiber optic, and network experience
- Available for extensive travel, 6 to 8 weeks at a time, road warrior
- Flexible and willing to work on-call, early morning, day, night, and weekend shifts
- Experience in low voltage cabling, smart hands network replacement, and telephony
- Knowledgeable of all industry standards (NEC, TIA/EIA, BICSI)
- Industry-specific certifications (BICSI, Systimax, Panduit, Beldon, Corning) are a huge plus
- Ability to consistently complete projects within budget, on time, and in a safe manner
- Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written
- Knowledgeable in identifying independent colors and learning color codes
- Execute advanced troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in cramped spaces
- Ability to operate a BOOM or scissor lift and work at heights
- Climbing experience is a plus!
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years
