Court Security Officers provide armed security to courthouses under the USMS contract. Responsibilities include entrance control, roving patrol, stationary post assignments, escort duties, and enforcing law and order.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- At least 3 years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or its military equivalency
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Valid driver's license from state of residency and a safe driving record for the past 5 years
- Clearance from the Department of Justice
- Certified Federal, state, county, local or military law enforcement training academy
