GSE Underwriter

We are Walker & Dunlop, one of the largest providers of capital to the commercial real estate industry. We are seeking a GSE Underwriter to join our Underwriting team, responsible for pre-screening and underwriting Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of commercial real estate experience underwriting multifamily loans and extensive knowledge of the Fannie Mae DUS and Freddie Mac Program Plus programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years of commercial real estate experience underwriting multifamily loans
• Experience independently underwriting 12+ GSE loans
• Extensive knowledge of the Fannie Mae DUS and Freddie Mac Program Plus programs
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in underwriting
• Analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data quickly
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
• Ability to develop and execute solutions to complex issues and transactions
