Job Description
The role of Senior Practitioner - AMHP in Walsall Council's Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) Team involves working shifts, making autonomous decisions, and adopting a person-centred approach to referrals. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Mental Health Act and be able to work collaboratively with people, families, and other professionals.
Requirements
- Qualified as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) with relevant certifications
- Professional qualification such as Social Worker, Psychiatric Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist
- Ability to work autonomously and make independent decisions
- Excellent listening skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
- Knowledge of the Human Rights Act, MHA, its principles, and the Code of Practice
