Adjunct Faculty - Chemistry (Multiple positions)

The Department of Biology and Chemistry at Washington Adventist University is seeking candidates to expand its pool of adjunct faculty teaching day and evening classes. The selected applicants will teach lectures and laboratories for majors and non-majors chemistry courses, and will have significant input in course design.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field from an accredited college or university
• Academic coursework in organic chemistry, biochemistry, or inorganic chemistry is preferred
• Ability to integrate technology into course delivery
• Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population of students both in and outside the classroom
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Prior college or university laboratory teaching experience preferred
• Knowledge of, and commitment to, the university’s philosophy and mission
