Job Description
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for constructing, finishing, installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment, systems, and facilities related to various crafts. The role involves performing unskilled work, maintaining shops and public areas, and responding to emergency problems.
Requirements
- Must be a WAU student
- Ability to use ruler and fractions, read blueprints or model to learn work layout or plans own work layout
- Ability to diagnose and solve technical and mechanical problems
- Ability to meet the physical demands to stand, bend, kneel, climb stairs, ladders and equipment, and a good sense of balance to work on heights
- Some lifting of medium and heavy materials, equipment and tools
