Job Description
The Wastewater Operator II is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the activated sludge wastewater plant, treating a combination of domestic and industrial wastewater. The facility includes a small laboratory performing process control analyses.
Requirements
- Operates a variety of equipment/machinery
- Maintains and updates plant operations logs and reports
- Performs routine tests and monitoring related to plant operations
- Performs treatment plant inspections
- Monitors control panels and informs supervising operator
- Performs preventive maintenance on all plant processes
- Collects wastewater samples and conducts laboratory tests
- Ensures facility is secure and performs maintenance of grounds and buildings
