Job Description
Wave is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build tools and infrastructure to support the Data Products and Insights & Innovation teams. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in building data pipelines and managing a secure, modern data stack. The role will involve designing, building, and deploying components of a modern data platform, including CDC-based ingestion using Debezium and Kafka, and a centralized Hudi-based data lake. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, AWS cloud proficiency, and experience with Databricks, Python, and dbt.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in building data pipelines and managing a secure, modern data stack
- AWS Cloud Proficiency: At least 3 years of experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure
- Strong Coding Skills: Write and review high-quality, maintainable code
- Data Lake Development: Prior experience building data lakes on S3 using Apache Hudi
- CI/CD Best Practices: Experience developing and deploying data pipeline solutions using CI/CD best practices
