Electrical Design Validation Engineer

Waymo is seeking an Electrical Design Validation Engineer to join its Hardware Engineering team. The role will involve developing and executing comprehensive board-level and module-level validation test plans for Waymo hardware, working closely with EE and software teams. The ideal candidate will have a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of hands-on experience in hardware electrical validation.

Requirements

• Develop and execute comprehensive board-level and module-level validation test plans for Waymo hardware
• Execute electrical validation test for silicon, board and system, covering high-speed / low-speed interfaces, voltage regulators, power delivery network (PDN), cover thermal and voltage corners
• Drive and execute validation to meet key deadlines and priority goals
• Clearly document validation results. Keep track of bugs encountered and fixed. Clearly communicate test plans and results
• Support hardware bring-up, debug, and troubleshooting
• Enhance validation efficiency and scalability through the development of scripts and automation tools
