Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Computer Vision/VLM

Waymo is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to develop state-of-the-art computer vision and multimodal models for autonomous driving. The ideal candidate will have experience with deep learning, computer vision, and large language models, and will be able to work autonomously and lead complex technical projects.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 4+ years of hands-on experience training and shipping deep learning models for computer vision tasks
• 1+ years of experience working with large language models or vision-language models
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Experience building and managing large-scale data processing pipelines for ML training
• Proven ability to work autonomously and lead complex technical projects
