Job Description
Waymo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Systems Engineering team, focusing on metrics and models for self-driving system performance, safety, and scalability. The role involves evaluating new models, gathering data, integrating models into the fleet, and communicating benefits and limitations of new metrics and models to partner teams. Waymo focuses on improving mobility and reducing traffic fatalities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Test Engineering for robotics, autonomous vehicles, or other complex hardware/software systems
- Strong background working with data
- Solid understanding of physics, geometry, and dynamics
- Proficiency in C++, Python, and SQL
- Enthusiasm to understand a complex system and its various components
- Ability to learn and utilize new frameworks quickly, employing AI tools or otherwise
