Job Description
Waymo is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join their Safety Evaluation team. This role involves the full spectrum of data analysis and model development to ensure the safety and reliability of their autonomous driving systems. The team focuses on rigorous data analysis, robust validation, and crafting novel ML techniques tailored to collision evaluation, impacting the future of autonomous vehicles.
Requirements
- PhD in a quantitative field (IE Statistics, Mathematics, Physics)
- 7+ years of industry experience solving large-scale complex problems
- Proven expertise using advanced statistical methods
- Ability to interpret and work with data in the presence of ambiguity
- Demonstrated knowledge of Python/SQL/R data analysis libraries and packages
- Experience solving problems related to Autonomous Driving
