Systems Engineer, Sensing

Waymo is looking for a Systems Engineer to lead the sign-off of sensing and perception systems for deployment, use system engineering principles to propose requirements, and evaluate system performance to improve the system and mitigate risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics or related technical field
• An advanced degree OR at least 5 years of applicable experience
• Familiarity with robotics, sensing, or perception technologies
• Experience with system engineering fundamentals: requirements definition, system design and architecture, trade studies, and verification and validation methods
• Experience working on large, complex systems and navigating ambiguity with multiple stakeholders
• Experience analyzing data using Python or other high level language (e.g. Matlab, SQL, R, C++)
