Fire Sprinkler Service Designer

Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers, Inc. is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Service Designer to join their team. As a Design Service Technician, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and managing fire sprinkler systems from inception to completion, working with minimal supervision and utilizing AutoCAD 2024 or later and the Hydratec third-party application. The role requires a strong understanding of NFPA codes and applicable Building Code, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Requirements

• Layout/draw fire fire sprinkler systems
• Hydraulically calculate all projects using the Hydratec calculation program
• Conduct field surveys on certain types of projects
• Schedule and attend project coordination meetings
• Submit drawings to appropriate authorities
• Follow up on submittals
• Accurately produce purchasing stock lists
• Maintain individual job status report
• Communicate with and assist field personnel
• Maintain proper documentation
• Coordinate with WAFS QA design review
• Assist sales in procurement of necessary AutoCAD drawings
