Job Description
The Iron Worker Foreman will supervise staff, oversee maintenance and repair of security doors and gates, and direct the installation and maintenance of ornamental iron work.
Requirements
- Supervise staff of Iron Workers
- Oversee maintenance and repair of security doors, roll-up doors and gates
- Oversee maintenance and repair for all Jell Cell Sliding Doors
- Oversee installation & maintenance of new paracentric security locks in all Jail Divisions
- Direct and design layout and fabrication of ornamental iron work
- Oversee building maintenance and attend meetings with buildings Division Management
- Order and maintain materials and repair parts for the Metal Shop
- Procure materials and repair parts for all Wayne County facilities.
- Read specifications or blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, or sizes of materials required.
- Cut, bend, or weld steel pieces, using metal shears, torches, or welding equipment.
