Wayve is a leading developer of Embodied AI technology. As a Field Engineer, you will diagnose and resolve vehicle software and hardware issues to keep the fleet operational. You will also support on-road testing and safety operations, contributing real-world feedback to improve vehicle performance and artificial intelligence systems.
Requirements
- Technical Expertise β Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software and hardware fault triage, and repair processes.
- Problem-Solving & Efficiency β Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly, meeting strict SLAs (5-minute response time) to keep vehicles operational.
- Communication & Collaboration β Capable of working closely with global teams, providing clear technical updates, and ensuring smooth handovers across locations.
- Safety & Compliance β Deep understanding of safety protocols, incident management, and adherence to operational procedures to ensure secure and effective repairs.
- Adaptability & Flexibility β Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, including participation in on-call rotations and weekend coverage as needed.
- Technical Tools & Platforms β Familiarity with diagnostic tools, software monitoring platforms (e.g., Datadog, Mender), and ticketing systems like JIRA.
- Strong driving experience and confidence operating vehicles in real-world conditions.
- Ability to safely monitor and respond to hazards during on-road testing.
- Experience providing structured feedback based on real-world system performance.
- Fluent in Hebrew and English.
- Hold a full Israeli Driving Licence.
