Mechanical Engineer/Designer

Mechanical Engineer/Designer who conceptualizes and designs products, utilizing 3D CAD modeling skills and collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teammates to ensure feasibility.

Requirements

• Develop and deliver engineering output files to print prototyped 3D parts
• Use 3D CAD modeling skills to design new product lines
• Design products using CAD and consult with engineering and manufacturing teammates
• Develop and build prototypes and run tests to measure their level of function
• Record and evaluate testing data and alter designs as necessary
• Consult with fabrication teams during product manufacturing
• Research competitor products quarterly and collaborate with product development team
• Calculate cost estimates for final product designs and release reports
• Attend weekly team meetings to provide progress reports
• Create and submit designs to the model shop for rapid prototype print and build
• Collaborate with the product development team to modify manufacturing drawings
• Track all work related to design, from concept to production
• Collaborate with the product development team to support product development
• Keep work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Communicate clearly and work as part of a team
