We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead the development and evolution of platform management and automation systems that enable seamless deployment, operation, and observability of distributed database clusters across cloud and on-premises environments.
Requirements
- Lead and mentor engineering teams responsible for platform automation, cluster lifecycle management, and monitoring systems
- Own the architecture and development of Kubernetes-based operators and orchestration frameworks for distributed platforms
- Drive the design and implementation of automation systems that simplify deployment, scaling, and maintenance of distributed clusters
- Establish engineering best practices related to system reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability
- Conduct design reviews and guide teams in building high-quality, production-ready software
- Collaborate with product management, SRE, and infrastructure teams to align technical solutions with product strategy and operational goals
- Build and enhance observability frameworks that provide monitoring, logging, and performance insights
- Support teams in solving complex distributed system challenges and removing technical blockers
- Define engineering roadmaps and track delivery against strategic goals and operational metrics
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and knowledge sharing within engineering teams
- Ensure consistent collaboration across globally distributed teams and stakeholders
- Contribute to architectural decisions and remain hands-on with technical guidance when necessary
