Requirements
- Serves as specialist in laboratory-specific research methods and equipment

- Creates and conducts experiments
- Evaluates experiment results using statistical and multivariate analysis
- Collaborates with industry or academic specialists to apply the results of research and develop new techniques
- Presents ongoing work and findings at conferences and summarizes the nature and methodology of the research
- Provides technical lab support by performing complex laboratory and research related tasks
- Develops and implements standard operating procedures and leads qualification and validation efforts for assays and procedures
- Researches new products, tests, and methods and reports on relative feasibility, quality, and benefits of new developments
- Organizes and presents data sets to the PI and programmatic leadership teams
- Summarizes completed protocols and studies; writes scientific articles and manuscripts for publication and presentation
- Supervises and mentors lab staff and students in the laboratory
- Monitors progress of research projects and coordinates with leadership to stay on budget and schedule and to meet milestones and deliverables
