Medical Director

The Medical Director leads and oversees all medical care provided to WelbeHealth participants, developing and maintaining written objectives, policies, procedure manuals, and quality assurance programs. They also recruit, train, and supervise medical staff, and participate in planning and budgeting for the medical service.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or approved by the American Osteopathic Association in a medical specialty related to services provided by the facility
• Board certification in internal medicine, family practice, emergency medicine, or geriatrics preferred
• Active state physician license without restrictions
• State CDS certification and active DEA registration
• Must be currently enrolled or eligible for enrollment to provide services to Medicare participants
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members
• Current knowledge of chronic care, geriatric issues, and best practices; working knowledge of PACE regulations preferred
