Welevel is an innovative game studio in Munich seeking a Senior Technical Artist (Character) to join their team. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between character art and technology, developing robust character pipelines, tools, and shaders for the game Solid River.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Artist specializing in characters for games.
- Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine (especially materials, shaders, Niagara, and character systems).
- Expertise in character pipelines, including rigging, skinning, and animation workflows.
- Proficiency with tools like Maya, Blender, Houdini, or equivalent for rigging and character art pipelines.
- Experience with shader development (HLSL, GLSL, or Unreal's Material Editor).
- Strong understanding of optimization techniques for real-time character rendering.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Blueprint, or MEL) for tool development.
- Experience working with procedural character generation and AI-driven animation techniques.
- Passion for game development and strong problem-solving skills.
