The Medical Assistant Integrated Care Coordinator is responsible for attending to patients in the THRIVE Program setting for behavioral interventions for a variety of mental health issues.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant certificate of completion from a training program.
- Current CPR or CPR/AED certification required or willingness to complete within 90 days from date of hire.
- Experience and/or education in human-related fields such as social work, psychology, counseling, alcohol or chemical dependency.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred; or other languages desirable.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing services for the underserved and sensitive, working with various people from criminal justice-involved low-income populations with diverse educational, lifestyle, ethnic, and cultural origins;
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, and demonstrate high listening skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, professional relationships.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service experience, problem-solving, and calmness in emotional or stressful situations.
- Commitment to HIPAA and ability to abide by standards of professional ethics and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to maintain detailed records.
- Compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the position, including Computer (PC) literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook email and database software.
- Commitment to HIPAA and ability to abide by standards of professional ethics and maintain confidentiality.
- Adherence to infection control procedures, including but not limited to, standard precautions of temperature monitoring, hand washing, symptom self-monitoring, masking and social distancing.
- Assist and support the Center/Department/Program to meet standards of High Reliability.
