Licensed Practical Nurse - Inpatient Rehab - PRN

Provides nursing care to patients at an advanced level of practice. Takes patient vital signs, assists with procedures/examinations, administers medications, assists patient with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, etc.) and instructs patients and their families in appropriate care.

Requirements

• Administers and controls narcotics and medications
• Provides general nursing care and personal care assistance to patients
• Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families
• Checks patient's vital signs
• Charts results of various tests
• Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel
• Assists physicians with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care
• Arranges for patients' ordered diagnostic and therapeutic services
• Provides health care instruction/education to patient and family members
• Ensures accurate maintenance of patients' medical records
• Performs a variety of nursing administrative duties
• Ensures an adequate stock of supplies and proper functioning of equipment
