Job Description
The Registered Nurse - Forensic Nurse Examiner provides a compassionate, exceptional healthcare to patients of all ages. The nurse is responsible for performing forensic medical examinations, collecting evidence, and providing courtroom testimony.
Requirements
- Gathers information from the patient for the medical forensic history
- Coordinates treatment of injuries, documentation of biological and physical findings, and collection of evidence
- Provides courtroom testimony when required
- Assists other disciplines with forensic care concerns when necessary
- Uses a multidisciplinary approach when providing forensic care
